Is it worth spending $7k on a mobile phone?
I had a chance to play with a Vertu mobile phone when I was at the most recent Mobius since Judie from Gear Diary was sporting one, and it was an experience I won’t forget. The price tag of most Vertu mobiles make the phone untouchable for most of us and it features a bevy of features, including its own concierge. That said, it continues to amaze me how many Vertu mobiles Drew over at Gear Diary goes through. His latest purchase is the Vertu Ascent Ti and he was kind enough to document his experience in both words and pictures in this review. This latest Vertu goes for about $7k, offers a micro USB port, is identical in length to the E51, and the keypad is ridges instead of flat keys.
